Enow was born on August 2nd 1985, in Bamenda, Cameroon. He is an origin of the Southwest region precisely from the Bayangi tribe. He grew up in Bafoussam, the capital of the West region, where he completed his primary and his secondary school at the Government Bilingual High School.

Stanley Enow, whose full name is Stanley Ebai Enow, is a Cameroonian rapper, singer, songwriter, and music producer. He gained popularity with his unique style and his contribution to the growth of hip-hop music in his country.

Enow’s journey in the music industry began when he began writing rap lyrics and break-dancing while in high school. He later on performed on two popular night shows namely; “Groove and Cocktail Hit Parade”. He also performed on several private radio stations, where he worked as an animator and director.

In 2013, he released his breakout single, “Hein Père”. The song, which fused traditional Cameroonian sounds with modern hip-hop, became an instant hit and garnered widespread attention. It propelled Enow to the forefront of the Cameroonian music scene and earned him several awards, including the MTV Africa Music Award for Best New Act.

Enow has released other singles as well which includes; “TumbuBoss”, “In the Middle” ft Nyanda, “Njama Njama Cow”, “Phoenix”, “Adore You” ft Mr. Eazi, “Caramel” ft Davido, “Casanova”, “My Way” ft Tzy Panchak and Locko, “Parapariparo”, “Take Over” amongst many others.

Building on his success, Enow released his debut album, “Soldier Like Ma Papa”. in 2015. The album showcased his versatility as an artist, incorporating various musical styles such as hip-hop, afrobeat, and dancehall. It featured collaborations with both local and international artists, further expanding Enow’s reach and influence. He later on released another album entitled “Stanley vs Enow” (2019).

Enow’s music often reflects his pride in his Cameroonian roots and his desire to promote African culture and unity. He incorporates elements of his native language, Pidgin English, and French into his lyrics, creating a unique blend of languages and sounds.

Throughout his career, Enow has collaborated with several renowned artists, including Davido, Mr Eazi, Sarkodie, Fuse ODG, Olamide, Gasha, DJ Neptune, Locko, Tzy Panchak and many other renowned musicians. His collaborations have helped him gain recognition beyond Cameroon, reaching a wider audience across Africa and internationally.

He has earned several awards and allocates due to wonderful contributions to the African music industry. Some of these awards can include; “Best Video of the Year” at the 2013 Balafon Music Awards, African Music Revelation of the Year at Trace TV, Male Artist of the Year and Urban Artist of the Year at 2013 Cameroon Academy Awards, Best New Act, Artist of the Year and Best Urban artist at Canal 2’Or and many other awards which he nailed them.

In addition to his music, Enow is also involved in various philanthropic endeavours. He has used his platform to raise awareness about social issues and support initiatives that promote education and youth empowerment in Cameroon.

In his radio animation career, he also did advertising campaigns with Pan-African telecommunication giants like MTN and many others.

In 2007, he relocated to Douala, Littoral region, where he graduated with a degree in Business Journalism from the University of Douala. He recently lost his dad which really shook him but he keeps being strong and determined than ever.

Stanley Enow continues to evolve as an artist, pushing boundaries and representing the vibrant music scene in Cameroon. His unique style, energetic performances, and dedication to promoting African culture have solidified his position as one of Cameroon’s most influential musicians.
