DESTINY ETIKO: NOLLYWOOD’S HOURGLASS BEAUTY
Destiny Etiko is a popular Nollywood actress known for her roles in Nigerian movies. She was born on August 12, 1989, in Udi, Enugu State, Nigeria. She got both her Primary and Secondary school education in Enugu State. She obtained a tertiary degree in Anambara State.
Destiny began her acting career in 2011 and has since appeared in numerous films, earning recognition for her talent and performances. She described her experience at the beginning of her career as a difficult one because she had to combine her acting career with her school requirements as she was still a student at the university during that period. Some of the notable movies Destiny Etiko has featured in include “Idemili” which was her breakthrough movie (produced in 2012 by Ernest Obi but was released in 2014). Her role in the movie earned her a City People Entertainment Awards nomination. She has featured in other movies including: “Barren Kingdom”, “The Storm”, “Hour of Victory”, “My Private Part”, “The Return of Ezendiala”. She has also worked with prominent actors and actresses in the Nigerian film industry.
Destiny Etiko has gained a huge mass of followers on social media platforms such as Instagram, where she shares updates about her career and personal life with her fans. She is known for her vibrant personality, beautiful body shape, fashion sense, and captivating on-screen presence. Destiny in an interview confirmed that she had been a victim of sexual harassment against women by male movie producers who are by far the majority as concerning movie productions in Nigeria.
Aside from her acting career, she has created a non-profit organization called the Destiny Etiko Foundation, intended to improve the conditions of people living in poverty.
Destiny’s skills have gotten her so far as she keeps being a role model to the younger generation and much more, round Africa and the world.
