The controversies surrounding his ministry, particularly in relation to the tragic collapse of a guesthouse on the SCOAN premises in 2014, which resulted in the death of several people, added to the debates surrounding his work. According to records,  almost a hundred people died from that incident and around 131 people were rescued alive.
