“THE BLACK BOOK” A NOLLYWOOD MYSTERY AND CRIME FILM COMES TO NETFLIX BY SEPTEMBER
The highly awaited mystery, crime and thriller series will feature the Nollywood veteran actor “Richard Mofe-Damijo”. The series is co-written by “Editi Effiong” and “Bunmi Ajakaiye”. Produced by “Kemi Lala Akindoju” and “Editi Effiong” (who owns the story idea and directed the series as well).
“The Black Book” tells the emotional story of a father who is looking for justice when his son is killed by a gang of corrupt policemen. He falls back on his military training to plan on getting justice.
“Richard Mofe-Damijo” as the lead actor had to prepare mentally, emotionally and physically too.he did a lot of boxing, weapons training, and fight sequences alongside “Denola Grey” who will act as his son in the movie.
“The Black Book” is one of the seven shows including “Anikulápo: The Series” and “Ólòtūré: The series”, that Netflix disclosed will be making their platform debut between this year (2023) and 2024. Aside form “The Black Book”, endeavour to expect other movie releases like “All we Had”, “Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with somebody”, “6ixtynin9”, “Top Boy” season 3, “Love at First Sight”, “Always Shine”, “Miseducation”, “KENGAN ASHURA: Season 2”, “Love is Blind: Season 5”, and “Power Rangers Cosmic Fury” on Netflix streaming platform by next month.
This movie is one of the most anticipated movies that carries the sign of being a landmark title for Nollywood. The movie has been set to be premiered by September 22nd 2023.
