KRYS M : A 237 ARTIST WITH THE RIGHT VIBES

Megne Noubissi Christelle, known by stage name “Krys M”, is a Cameroonian singer and dancer. She began her musical career in 2013 with the group “Mo Girls” in which they won the MO Casting and it enabled them to sing “Secouer Lo” featuring DJ Arafat. Unfortunately, in 2015 the group was disbanded due to the unavailability of their sponsor.

In 2016, Krys M did music covers of popular songs. She released an acoustic cover of Mr. Leo and Locko’s song “Supporter”. After that, she went on a lowkey and she later on resurfaced in the music scene, under the famous label “Big Dreams Entertainment”, a former home to Locko. Coincidentally, she has been singing with Locko since their college days. She released a song entitled “T’oublies” and after a while she collaborated with Locko on the song “My Love”.

The said artist has released several songs which include; “Nyama” ft Aveiro Djess (2019), “Chéri Coco” (2021), “Chacun Sa Chance” (2022), “Ngue Me Meun A” (2023), “Qui Croira Verra” (2023), “Il Va Donner Pour Moi” (2023), and many others.

Krys is part of a register of folk music and traditional rhythms from Cameroon such as Benskin and Mangambeu. She also does a little of urban music.

The talented musician was born on January 30^th, 1995 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. She hails from Baleng, Mifi-West region of Cameroon.

In 2018, she won the Greenlight Awards in the “Best Musical Revelation Category”, in 2022, she was crowned “Best Female Voice of the Year” at the Balafon Music Awards with her single “Chacun Sa Chance”, in 2023, she was recently nominated passed at the Trace Music Awards 2023, she recently won 3 awards at the Canal 2’Or 2023 Awards which included; “Best Digital Music Performance”, “Most Popular Music”, and “Best Female Artist”. this tends to show how talented she is and spreads lots of positive energy through her songs.

The artist recently had a little chaos on social media due to her live performance at the 2023 Trace Music Awards on how she did not put in her best and it was not really the best. She learned her lesson and gave a quality performance at the Canal 2’Or Awards which happened on Saturday 28^th October 2023. She did a wonderful job and praises on her performance have filled the whole social media.

Even with the tough journey through her career, Krys M has shown courage, she did not give up and she keeps climbing that ladder so high till she will reach the top. She is apparently one of Cameroon’s top musicians and she understood the assignment and is giving positive remarks.
