Sad news hits the streets of Cameroon once more time as a fellow Cameroonian blogger, has been reported missing for days now and rumours has it that he might be dead or who knows what could have happened to him as it might be.

Blogger whose name has been revealed as Prombove Dorien, has been missing since last week, and his identity card was recently discovered in his house. The mobilisation is certain on the web of 237 (Cameroon).

It’s been a few confusing days on the web at 237 (Cameroon). Since the previous week, information has been circulating on social media, announcing the disappearance of Cameroonian blogger Prombove Dorien. He is the promoter of “Culture Camerounaise et Actualité Du Mboa”. Other sources reported that his body had been found in the waters of the Nyong. Apparently, this information was later denied.

Members of his family report that his national identity card was found at his home. His family are currently on the alert and hope that young Dorien is doing well. On social media, the alert is also at its highest.

“Cameroonian cultural blogger Prombove Dorien, promoter of the blogs Culture Camerounaise and Actualité Du Mboa, has been missing for several hours. His disappearance has just been confirmed by the administrators of his Facebook page Actualite Du Mboa in the following terms…. He left his home at around 2pm for a destination unknown to everyone and so far, has given no sign of life”, reads Laura Dave Média.

In the wake of this, we learn that before his disappearance on Thursday 23 November 2023, the blogger went to his blog “Culture Camerounaise” at 12:35pm to write: “It’s over” before deactivating his chip minutes later.

This further prompted Cameroonian actress Flavienne Tchatat to ask; “What’s really going on with Culture Camerounaise? The image you’ve always given us through your editorial line has never generated buzz, attacks and even less mockery. There’s a lot to worry about here”.
