CHOUPO-MOTING AND BAYERN MUNICH ON A SUCCESS ADVENTURE

Éric Maxime Choupo-Moting and Bayern Munich, have both qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals by beating Lazio 3-1 on aggregate.

Despite losing the first leg, Choupo-Moting’s team-mates played a full match to turn the tie around and qualify for the next round. Bayern won 3-0 thanks to a brace from Harry Kane and a goal from Thomas Muller. Lazio looked like a force to be reckoned with for half an hour, defending well, but then the Italians cracked. Beaten 1-0 in the first leg, Bayern did what they had to do to reach the quarter-finals, as they have almost always done (12 times in the last 13 editions).

As a substitute, the Cameroon striker watched from the stands as they qualified.
