« L’AFRIQUE FAIT SON CINEMA »: A FESTIVAL THAT HIGHLIGHTS AFRICAN DIRECTORS
The 2021 edition of the African Film Festival will take place from 25 to 31 October 2021 at the Lincoln Champs Elysées cinema, after a virtual version in 2020. After an official selection by an international screening committee, the #AFSC2021 offers nearly 62 films in competition, many of which will be directly available in theaters.
Among these, 15 are from Cameroun, namely: « Mon Insolence » by Yvette Manga, « Triangle » by Louis Thierry Eva, « Leçon » by Patrick M.Timbé, « Mon identité » by Aicha Mounir, « Petit Jo Enfant Des Rues » by Daniel Kamwa, « Illusion » by Michel Pouamo, « Bendskins » by Narcisse Wandji, « Little Sam Big Sam » by Billy Bob Lifongo, « Chariot Of The Gods » by Anurin Nwunembom, « Trauma » by Cynthia Elizabeth Nana, « La Mort Ce Cadeau De Vie » by Madeleine Autet, « Le Mystère Du Chapeau » by Champlain Tchinda, « Poisson D’or Poisson Africain » by Thomas Grand & Moussa Diop, « La Guerre des sexes » a series by Simon William Kum, the last and not the least « Un Vampire A Yaounde » a series by René Elamé.
On the program of the African Film Festival: screening of feature films and short films in the presence of the teams, documentaries, series, exhibitions and events. On the occasion of its 3rd edition, the president of the Jury, Fiona Gelin, will award prizes to the most deserving, outstanding and exceptional works of this 2021 edition. In order to bring this new edition to a successful conclusion, the “Afrique Fait Son Cinéma” team is joining forces with leading cultural players in their effort to institutionalize African 7th art.
