KRIBI : MOTHER ALLEGEDLY KILLS HER BABY

On Wednesday 3^rd, January 2024, a woman was allegedly accused of killing her nine-month-old baby, by giving the little blessing a large quantity of whiskey mixed with a cube of maggi. This happened in Kribi, the Ocean Division of the South region of Cameroon.

According to sources, they report that the lady wanted to help release her baby from diarrhoea with the concoction which has been recorded to be used by locals to cure diarrhoea. Unfortunately, not everyone’s system can handle such mixture and it killed her little baby.

“It’s true many people here mixed whiskey and maggi and consumed it as a diarrhoea remedy and it worked. Her case is different, because it concerns a baby and it was toxic. The quantity was certainly too much for the baby,” explained a local.

As the victim’s husband heard the news, he threw her out of their matrimonial home.

An in-depth investigation is currently going on and the lady is currently on the run.
