This year’s year’s “Back to Our Roots” festival has been launched. With it being the 9th edition , the theme of this year’s event is “Eradicating drugs with traditional medicine”, which is  a highly evocative theme according to Dr FOBANG Philip, coordinator of the “Pôle des Détenteurs des Savoirs Immatériels et Art Divinatoires” .

From 8th  to 11th February 2024, the esplanade of the National Museum will be the setting for this festival, the main aim of which is to reconnect Cameroonians with their roots.

To date, the “Pôle des Détenteurs des Savoirs Immatériels et Art Divinatoires”, has already received the support of the CRTV, the backing of associations of traditional practitioners who have already given their endorsements, the DGSN, the Ministry of Arts and Culture, and many other partnerships are under discussion.

With what is expected of the 9th edition of Back to Our Roots festival, one shall be lucky to share the exhibitions of medicinal plants and traditional medicines, events, knowledge-sharing, citizenship education, public consultation and much more.
