AMBAM: 8,000 LITRES OF CONTRABAND VEGETABLE OIL SEIZED BY CUSTOMS

The seized cargo was destined for Ebolowa, in the Southern region of Cameroon. Unfortunately, the goods were seized on the night of 22^nd October breaking 23^rd October 2023, by the elements of the mobile customs brigade in Ambam in the South region. They intercepted a truck belonging to a brewing company bound for Ebolowa.

According to the customs, the search of the truck, resulted to a removal of 400 20 litre gallons of vegetable oil. In total, the seizure resulted to a total weight of 8000 litres, which was concealed under empty racks and juice pallets. A report of the attachment was drawn up and transmitted to the authorities.

This new seizure is part of a movement of customs operations to intercept the smuggling of goods carried out a few weeks ago.
