DISCOVERY OF A LIFELESS BODY OF A UNIVERSITY LECTURER

Sources reveal a sad incident that struck Maroua, in the Far North region of Cameroon on Thursday 26^th October 2023.

The lecturer in question is Fendjongue Prosper Hughes and he was reported missing, just for his family members and friends to go and discover his remains in the waters of the “Fleuve Logone” (Logone river) in Goulfey. Reports say the lecturer in question was on duty at the university of Maroua.

The incident shocked everyone, and circumstances leading to the death of the said lecturer is unknown. But it was reported that while they await his burial, an investigation will be launched to clarify on the cause of the lecturer’s death.

The corpse was brought to the Kousseri’s hospital’s morgue.

The tragedy of the loss of this brilliant academic reminds everyone of the importance of security and vigilance, particularly in the regions around the river borders, where dangers can arise unexpectedly.
