« HIDDEN DREAMS » SELECTED FOR THE 94th EDITION OF THE OSCARS

« Hidden Dreams » movie released directed by Nchini Justin and produced by Ngang Romanus is amongst the films selected for the 94th Oscars 2022, representing Cameroon.

The movie talks about a young inquisitive British trained scout who is displaced to a primal Village. He challenges the era of tradition in the 1960s which gravely endangers his life.

In a press statement written by the president General of producer’s Guild of Cameroon, on behalf of his members extend thier congratulations to Nchini Justin the director and Ngang Romanus, the cast and crew of the Movie « Hidden Dreams » for their distinctive accolade to have been amongst the films selected for the 94th OSCARS 2022 representing Cameroon. He encourages the work done for this achievement.

The 94th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will honor the best films released since March 1, 2021, and is scheduled to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California on March 27, 2022. This will be the first time since 2018 that the ceremony will be held in March to avoid conflicting with the Winter Olympics.

The eligibility period has started since films released between March 1 and December 31, 2021 can compete, the academy will be able to start voting on December 10 for the first round, a first shortlist will then be unveiled on December 21. Then the general vote will start from January 27, 2022 until February 1.
The nominations will be communicated on February 8, 2022 and the final vote will take place on March 17 and 22, 2022.

The next step closer to being nominated is for the movie to make it to the next round of 15 shortlisting and to the next round of nominations.
