RAMSEY NOUAH: A MULTI-NATIONAL SKILLED ACTOR

Ramsey Nouah is a Nigerian actor and filmmaker who has made a significant impact on the Nigerian film industry, commonly known as Nollywood. He was born on December 19, 1970, in Edo State, Nigeria. He grew up in Surulere, Lagos, where he attended Atara Primary School and Community Grammar School. He received a degree in Mass Communications at the University of Lagos, after which he pursued a career in acting.

 Nouah began his acting career in the early 1990s because he actually needed money for his General Certificate of Education (GCE) but he got so skilled and quickly rose to prominence with his talent and good looks. His acting career took a start when he starred as Jeff Akin-Thomas in the Nigerian TV soap opera “Fortune”. He has appeared in numerous Nollywood films, earning him the title of one of Nigeria’s most sought-after actors. He is known for his versatility and ability to portray a wide range of characters, from romantic leads to action heroes. His performances are often praised for their depth and emotional intensity.

Some of Nouah’s most notable films include “Living in Bondage”, “Silent Night”, “Dangerous Twins”, “30 Days in Atlanta”, “Fisherman’s Diary”, “76”, “Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons”, “Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story”, and a lot more.  He has also acted in international productions such as “The Figurine” and “Temple of the Sea Goddess”.

In addition to his acting career, Nouah has also ventured into filmmaking. He made his directorial debut with the film “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free” in 2019, which was a sequel to the original “Living in Bondage” film released in 1992. The film was a commercial success and received positive reviews.

Nouah’s talent and contributions to the Nigerian film industry have earned him numerous awards and nominations. He has won multiple Africa Movie Academy Awards and was named Best Actor at the Africa Magic Viewers‘ Choice Awards.

Off-screen, Nouah is known for his private nature and keeping his personal life out of the public eye. He is married to Emelia Philips-Nouah, and they have two children together.
