PRIME VIDEO OFFICIALLY RELEASES LATEST VIDEO: “A YOUNG TIME AGO”

Amazon Prime Video, or popularly known as Prime Video, is an American subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming and rental service of Amazon offered as a standalone service or as part of Amazon’s Prime subscription. The service began on September 7, 2006, as Amazon Unbox in the United States. The service primarily distributes films and television series produced by Amazon Studios and MGM Holdings or licensed to Amazon, as Amazon Originals, with the service also hosting content from other providers, content add-ons, live sporting events, and video rental and purchasing services. The service has been spread through out the world and extended right to Africa and has released several African movies. It recently just released its latest movie within this 2023 “A Young Time Ago”.

« A Young Time Ago » is set to tell the story of an ex-convict who shares his revenge story which went wrong a long time ago. Fate has given him a second chance he never saw coming and the rest of the movie explains how he uses his second chance.

The movie was directed by Tolu Awobiyi who is also nicknamed as “Lord Tanner” with Dade Wade Productions, it features professionals like Timini Egbuson, Wale Ojo, Daniel Etim-Effiong, Sophie Alakija, Mofehintola Jebutu, Sandra Okunzuwa, Tolu Osaile and there are many others. The movie had some of its production shoot at the University of Ibadan, as it unveils the college story of some youthful excitement gone wrong.

The announcement of this movie was made by the movie director on an Instagram post revealing the synopsis of the movie and its debut on the Prime Video streaming platform. Awobiyi posted earlier this year (2023) on how dear this particular production was to him. He posted, “I have had this one on my heart since 2013. It was my very first story… the one my heart really wanted to tell the world. I carried it around for years wondering when, who, where and finally sold it, we’ve told it soon we’ll share it with you all”. As he posted, few months later the movie came to be a dream come true and now recognized under a Prime Video licensed direct release deal.

« A Young Time Ago » joins the list of interesting movies to look forward to this month of September. It was released on September 1^st 2023, and produced by the makers of “Breaded Life” a Nollywood Movie which also features Timini Egbuson and the movie “Couple Days”.
