OKAWA SHAZNAY

A Cameroonian Nollywood actress born in Bamenda by the year 1986. She gained fame in Nigeria’s Movie Industry-Nollywood through a movie in which she featured in “Lyore” in collaboration with Rita Dominic and Joseph Benjamin. She grew more famous in 2016 as she earned the lead role in a popular series “Delilah”. She won the Exquisite Lady of the Year (ELOY) award for Tv actress of the year in 2016 for the lead role in Delilah. She is the first Cameroonian actress to create a link between Nollywood and Collywood.

EMY DANY BASSONG

Birth name, Émilienne Danielle Ngo Bassong but mostly known by the name “Emy Dany Bassong” or “Ngo Bikaϊ”, was born on January 4th 1991 in Yaounde. The Cameroonian actress is an origin of Babimbi a tribe in the Littoral region of Cameroon. The actress became known on screen by the year 2004. She paused her acting career after she put to birth of a bouncing baby boy (2014) then in 2017, she featured in the web series “Pakgne” and after that, she wrote her own web series entitled “Ma destinée” which its name later became the “tchakaϊ” which marked the minds of internet users. She also featured in the series “Madame .. Monsieur” in 2020 a series by Ebenezer Kepombia. Due to her firmness of purpose, she appeared on “Écrans Noirs” of 2020 in 6 screenings of films and series. She is an ambassador of many brands in Cameroon. In 2021, she was nominated for two African competitions: “Act 13 of Canal 2’Or” in the Best Comic actress category and the “Sotigui Awards” in the category of Best Female actress in African series and Audience award. Still in 2021, she opened her restaurant under the name “African Food” and the following year on the anniversary of the restaurant, she inaugurated a second restaurant and named it “African Grill”

 MURIEL BLANCHE

Popularly known as Muriel Blanche but by birth was named, Leumeni Kamcheu Muriel. She is a Cameroonian actress and singer, born on August 25th 1990 in Bandja-West Region. She has featured on a popular web series “Pakgne” alongside Marcelle Kuetche and released her single “Love Me” in 2018. She has also played the role “Princesse” in the movie “Touni Bush”,Un Baiser Pour Deux” by Dante Fox, “Habiba” and also “Monsieur & Madame” by Ebenezer Kepombia, “Shenanigans” and “Aline” by Salem Kedy.

SYNDY EMADE

The popular actress, movie producer and entrepreneur, Elone Synthia Emade was born on 21st November, 1993. She is one of the most renown Cameroonian Nollywood actresses across Cameroon. She is the founder and CEO of Blue Rain Entertainment in which she starred in films like “A Man For The Weekend” and “Rose On The Grave”. By the year 2016, she began her Nollywood career in the movie “Why I Hate Sunshine”. In 2017, she was awarded Best Cameroonian Actress at the “Scoop Academy Awards”, in 2014 she won the Cameroon Miss Heritage award. She has starred in several movies with lots of movie stars.

STEPHANIE TUM

Ekah Stephanie Tum is a Cameroonian actress who was born in 1987. She is the CEO of Embi Production. In 2011, that was the year she became really popular when she featured in the movie “Pink Poison”, a film by Agbor Gilbert. She acted as an arrogant lawyer in “Viri” in the year 2013. She acted in other movies like “Shrill”, “Little Cindy”, and “The Giant Broom”. In 2020, her movie “Saving Mbango” was full of praise in the movie industry and this movie had several awards at the “Écrans Noirs” and “CAMIFF”.

LUCIE MEMBA BOS

Lucie Memba is a Cameroonian actress born in the year 1987. In the 2013 edition of Cameroon Movies Merit Award (CMMA) she was honoured and awarded the Best Lead Actress in Cinema of Cameroon for French Speaking Actress. In Agbor Gilbert’s “Pink Poison”, she featured with Jim Iyke together with Dakore Akande and made an astonishing International Impression. In 2017, she was nominated Best Cameroonian Female Actress for “TROPHEES FRANCOPHONES DU CINEMA” in the movie “La Patrie D’abord” by Thierry Ntamack. The actress and model Nsang Dilong was born in August 1994. She has some background in modelling as in 2011, she won Miss West Africa Cameroon (MWACC) pageant. She participated in the Miss Cameroon pageant of 2013. She is mostly known for her entertaining skills on social media. In 2016, she starred in one of the most recognised award-winning tv series in Cameroon “Zamba” alongside Epule Jeffrey and many other movies.

MARCELLE KUETCHE

The Cameroonian actress, director, and producer Nkomkobo Kuetche Marcelle or mostly known as “Poupy” was born in 1992. She is an origin of the West region. She got famous after she featured in the web series “Pakgne” with Muriel Blanche. She has also featured in films like “Irrational Love” with Syndy Emade, a film by Chelsy Susy and much more. she has found favour and admiration on Cameroonian Tv series.

NDAMO DAMARISE

Ndamo Damarise is a Cameroonian actress from Mbande village, located in Nkambe, in the Northwest region of Cameroon.in 2014, she had her debut in acting with the tv series “Rumble”.  She is highly regarded for her role in “The Fisherman’s Diary” and this movie enabled her to earn the Best Actress at IFFA-India. She also won Best Supporting actress in 2018, in London (UK) at ZAFAA Global Awards. She has done a lot of great work in a short within her career and there is yet more to see.

SOLI EGBE

Soli Egbe which is her popular name, is normally called Solantine Egbe. She is a Cameroonian actress, movie producer, business woman and tv personality. She was born on May 20th 1992 and hails from Bayangi/Oroko. She is the CEO of Green Sea Dynasty Media. She has featured in a large number of movies like “Darkside”, “Woman”, “Before You Say Yes I Do” just to name a few. The movie “Shrill” was produced by her. She has acted with renown actors and actresses like: Ruth Kadiri, Nino Bolale,, Wole Ojo, Aduniade, Zack Orji, Epule Jeffrey and others.

ONYAMA LAURA

Onyama Laura Anyeni is a Cameroonian actress born in 1992 in Buea, Cameroon. She began her acting career in 2011 with the movie “Rain” by Chando Daniel. she has played important roles in some movies “Saving Mbango” by Nkanya Nkwai, CRTV Series “Rumble” by Billybob Ndive, Award-winning movie “The Fisherman’s Diary”. In 2016, she was nominated and won Best Cameroonian actress at “Écrans Noirs Film Festival. In 2017, she equally won Best Actress awards at CAMIFF and CAMIFF, and in 2021 still won Best Actress in “Saving Mbango” still at CAMIFF.

Indeed, these actresses have been of great influence in Cameroon and Africa  due to their acting skills, international awards, their humanitarian minds and much more. They keep doing a great work across Cameroon and the world at large.
