NATIONAL GAMES OF CAMEROON “DIXIADES” SCHEDULED FOR YAOUNDÉ IN DECEMBER 2024

The signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding, for the organization of the 8th edition of the national sports games was held between the mayor of the city of Yaoundé, Luc Messi Atangana, and the president of the Cameroon National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSC), Hamad Kalkaba Malboum.

The ceremonial signing of the memorandum of understanding took place recently,  at the Yaoundé City Hall.

The 8th edition of the national sports games will be held from 11th to 21st December 2024 under the patronage of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya.

During the solemn ceremony, the mayor of Yaoundé and the president of the CNOSC held lengthy discussions. This was followed by a general presentation of the “Dixiades”, a round-up of recent editions and a presentation of the CNOSC’s expectations of the city of Yaoundé.

The mayor of Yaoundé, Luc Messi Atangana, welcomed the organisation of the 8th National Sports Games in Yaoundé.

“The Dixiades 2024 in Yaoundé will be a warm moment, a meeting point between young people and the city. It will be a great event, both in terms of organization and local involvement. I’d like to take this opportunity to call on the people of Yaoundé to turn out in force to ensure the success of this event, » declared Luc Messi Atangana.

For his part, the President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC), welcomed the acceptance of the partnership agreement by the municipality of Yaoundé.

“We’re coming back to Yaoundé to change the spirit and strengthen the event with the support of the town council. I would like to thank the Mayor of Yaoundé for agreeing to sign this partnership agreement with the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon to organize the 8th edition of the Dixiades”, said Hamad Kalkaba Malboum.

Upcoming projects in Cameroon for the year 2024 are interesting and hope is that everything will run well and smoothly with no problem. December is awaited for the “DIXIADES”.
